Sometimes you tell yourself after a match " i would have tried this action in different way..."
Do you know if there is a way to play in test mode a recorded match (which you played or not) and starting from specific turn of your choice? (so starting a turn in the exact same set up happened in the match so you can try some different possibilities)
I do not think this is possible, at least i did not find anything here
https://fumbbl.com/help:Test+mode
I presume it is not so trivial
Someone else find useful for training purpose?
thx! |

This think with this so that the dice you rolls was the dice at the time and may not of happen if you tried it a different way |

In the game you unfortunately have time pressure, but in the post-game it would be nice to be able to analyse what would have been the best move to make
I'll give you an example of a game with Human vs DE I played in Brawl
https://fumbbl.com/p/match?id=4500014
Turn6, second half
I had a possible puschain to bring my #2 Blitzer Tackler closer to the Blodge #8 ball carrier by a puschain blitz and then 1D block on Blodge by my Tackler Blitzer.
This would have definitely save myself a dodge + blitwith 1RR only in turn 7 which was quite desperate (it was my offensive drive i lost the ball).
I have seen this opportunity in the match but failed to do , probably the sequence i started to do in turn 6 was wrong but i wanted to try some possible options.

This is totally antisocial, how do I make a test league for myself to take pixels and play alone? |

I have been thinking about this feature for a while but it seems pretty complex to implement.
It might come one day but do not hold your breath. |

Well… you can play vs yourself in test mode… and record the results and update the teams manually….
Not that I played an entire league vs myself, no no, who would do that… |

Oh I would, I tried doing that on tabletop with a match a day--the team sheet overhead was annoying. So how do I do that?
If I want a game against another player I add this before the password. test:
Do I just generate a test game like this test: match
then join it with the other team by joining with the same password being test: match
? |

yes for instance there is a way to reproduce "more or less" the situation in the previous picture
you go here
https://fumbbl.com/p/match?id=4500014
you notice the ID number of the two teams
you open each team in test mode and call gamename test:whatever.
Then once you are in the game to re-create the situation in the previous picture you can move selected players in the previous picture status. Unfortunately you could not exactly re-create the exact picture (like the catcher pand linemane prones)... so is not exactly the same but it is a workaround. |

Yes you can recreate the exact situation. Since you can preset the upcoming dice in test mode, you can block the players down and preselect av break and stun. It is a bit of work but certainly less than programming the whole feature. Unless of course somebody else is doing the programming. |

There are also commands to place players prone or stunned.
Things like re-rolls and inducements can not be modified though. |

ah thank you! yes in effect in the Help i noticed this command
/prone <playerlist>
but i think you cannot use in the game, only before starting (like for skill assignements)?
I tried to re-create (by moving) the situation in the picture and then /prone # (where # is replaced by number of player you want to put prone) (in this case the catcher) but seems nothing happening |
