Piling On would be great now as AV-only, working on fouls and blocks alike if you haven't been spotted fouling on the original roll, and you go prone before the reroll so no skills. That would be way more interesting than Pile Driver, and not broken. |

I suppose I also like how a few of the skills in each category ARE kind of a waste. It makes the random rolling a bit of a gamble.
I don't like Arm Bar.. but I do like to see an Orc blitzer with a 10k Arm Bar on the other team. |

I would rather see chosen skills come down in TV and randoms come up in SPP slightly, and then make the bad skills better. |

Posting when the thread is on page 3 seems a little late to the party but...
I loved the idea of going back to a designated Passing Stat like in Second Edition. Such a shame they totally ruined Passing as an actual option (not just sub-optimal as the die-hards will scream).
The new skill selection system made for an interesting change, especially being able to "save up" for specific skills. The re-draft is a great idea too. Monster players need a way to be removed from the game (eventually), but some players need a long time to actually build and woe be tide anyone who wants to build an unusual player (anything that "shouldn't" do a role) so I think Theme Teams suffer under this ruleset. Maybe having predominantly Tournament TT coaches on the playtesting may have contributed to such a restrictive tightening of things to focus coaches into more comformative styles of play <shrug>
Negative parts of the game for me are that removal of players quickly devolves games into one-sided boredom inducing mouse-clicks... and the frequency of that seems to have increased dramatically. |

Yea... clawpomb type pitch clearances are just not a regular thing anymore
So to reply in the style of this post:
- Pile On removal + Claw/MB no longer stacking has reduced the potential CAS output of killer teams, which in turn means spamming kill-stack is less viable, so bash teams are more likely to spam Guard and Stand Firm skills instead
This means their gameplay is now based more on tactical control, rather than seeking CAS
This in turn means playing at high TV isn't scary as it used to be, as your team is less likely to be destroyed |

But Serious Injuries are more common, because the Casualty table shifted Badly Hurt from 50% to 37.5%, thus making the Apothecary less useful.
Even without Cpomb, there is a certain attrition at low TV anyway.
About Guard and Stand Firm: according to my anecdotal experience, team go for Mighty Blow and Guard over Guard and Stand Firm, more commonly.
8 Casualties in a match I recently played:

Having a bench doesn't help that much. This is why I asked, in another thread, a client option to tweak both the Injury and Casualty tables.
There is no need to have both tables like they are now because Re-Draft trims the teams. |

You too. I just commented after your post: "

I can nitpick too, see? |

Hardly, it was an hour later
Less pitch clears is 'a thing I like in the current BB edition'
Your post has basically nothing like that
The thread is to celebrate things we like, but you instead moaned, again. Which is exactly why murker told you to make this thread, in case you hadn't worked that out... |
