Hello, please, is it possible to create a custom ruleset in League division with these settings or at least, some of them (especially the first four options)?
1) No Season Re-Draft;
2) TV cap set by Commissioner;
3) 3 skill slots each player;
4) Max 1 stat boost per characteristic;
5) Wizard priced 200k;
6) Treasury cap 200k;
7) 1 rr per turn (although I guess that's a client setting, not a custom league setting, and probably it would require too much developers' work).
Thanks for attention! |

To my knowledge...
1) Yes
2) No... You could put a cap on redraft on the other hand, but not during the season
3) Yes, you can define there are only 3 slots and even define the number of spp needed for each
4) No
5) Yes
6) More or less : you can set up a very agressive exponancial expenses table
7) no |

Thank you very much!
As an aside, if you can have no Season, why do you have to put a cap on Re-Draft?
Without Season there should be no Re-Draft either, am I right? Or am I missing something?
Anyway, I've gathered enough informations to say that no, you can't play with your own houserules in League division, as koadah always suggests .
You can play only with SOME houserules in League division. |

What I meant is if you activate seasons, you can parameter a flat cap. But even this is false, as the treasury will be added to the cap you parametered... :s |

I don't want the Season at all. Just TV cap. |

I don't like Spiralling Expenses and Expensive Mistakes, both are silly mechanics.
For example, with Expensive Mistakes you could have a Treasury of 100k and lose 30k (which, for an Elven team, is annoying), while bash teams generally swim in gold, easily storing more than 300k (or, to be safe, they can keep the Treasury at max 295k, risking to lose only 30k, which is a ridiculous amount compared to losing 30k for a team with only 100k in the Treasury), despite the Expensive Mistakes rolls (not effective at trimming huge Treasuries as much as they should).
That means that bash teams can afford to replace quickly the positionals they rarely lose, compared to teams with expensive and squishy players like Elves.
Moreover, if an overdog team stores gold can use it to buy Inducements and get an advantage it doesn't need and should not have.
I just want a max Treasury value. Simple and effective.
Expensive Mistakes mechanic sounds fancy on paper, but it's just "rule bloat", to use your words. Rolling extra dice in the post-match phase for the sake of it.
With a Treasury cap all the Treasuries would get closer and Inducement abuse would be harder to do. |
