Is it possible in FumBBL to chainsaw someone during a blitz kick-off event as your blitz action
In BB3 they have it implemented incorrectly and you cannot stab or chainsaw during the event.
I have a beer bet on this so please humour me |

Looks like you’re buying the beers. Cheers |
Well actually I get the beer in this case. And also it's incorrect the way it's done in FumBBL.
You can Chainsaw or Stab or Breathe fire during a blitz action as part of a Blitz event.
There is an argument to be made against the Chainsaw specifically but not stab. |

Your arguments are wrong.
Cant use special actions during blitz kickoff, says so in rulebook. |

Where does it say that? |

You can stab or chainsaw during a blitz kick-off event as part of your blitz action. And it is implemented exactly that way on FumBBL.
https://fumbbl.com/note/christer/SkillUsage
refers to use of special actions during a blitz kick off event, the blitz action during the blitz kick off event is a special case
A special action replacing a block action is allowed as part of the blitz action, but not as a stand alone action.
Because I haven't typed the word blitz enough:
Blitz, blitz, blotz! |

I don't follow this
Or, you're interpreting the table to mean something I don't think it means
If something has a 'N' in the right column, it means you can't use it during kickoff events eg Blitz!
It doesn't have seperate section for 'are you doing a blitz-action or not'
I'd assume it doesn't separate those out - as for example Juggernaut gets a 'Y' and you can *only* use that during a blitz-action
So, you're trying to make a distinction on the table, but I don't see how that's supported? |

After reading the rulebook myself though, I don't see why the table says 'N' to chainsaw and stab
Blitz! event lets you activate a number of players
One of those players can do a blitz-action
In the blitz-action you can do a special action instead |

The only relevant text I could find that would limit it, is the stab rule says there is no limit to the number of stabs you can do per team turn, same for chainsaw
So if you were feeling ... particular .. about it, you could claim that means you can only do it in team turn. which the blitz! event is not
I don't think that's the intention though. It's just to differentiate from Pass and TTM actions being one per turn |

Yeah that's the only vaguely valid arguement against using chainsaw during a blitz but the text on Stab doesnt have that it says "There is no limit to how many players with this Trait may perform this Special action each team turn."
But you also have to consider the 'Block' text: "there is no limit to how many players may perform a Block action each team turn." So if you disallow Stab you have to disallowed throwing a block during a blitz event blitz action.
(Blitz blitz blitz blitz for good measure) |

Projectile vomit even has text to explain what it means by once per turn. "A player can only perform this Special action once per turn (i.e., Projectile Vomit cannot be used with Frenzy or Multiple Block)."
And for that it's like a parking sign "Between 8am-6pm 2 hour limit"
That means if it's not between 8am-6pm there is no limit.
So if you are allowed to do it once a turn. If it's not your turn you can theoretically do it more than once. |

I don't think that we are supposed to post verbatim rules on this site. |
The consequences of that is that people get the rules wrong and I get told over and over you can't blitz chainsaw someone in a blitz event. |
