This is a difficult question due to his ST 5. Please keep in mind his stats:

Strigoyan Lord 6/5/2/8 Regenerate, Razor Sharp Claws, Off For a Bite, Throw Team Mate, Undead

I always pictured a vampire lord like an older educated noble, but possessing of a hidden strength that a mortal man couldn't match. I guess that's very stereotypical (the old vampire in "Underworld" was a perfect portrayal of what I mean), but it is what gave them their eerie presence.

The GW mini is kind of strange and unexpected. Looks just like a lesser/greater daemon of sorts. They're not supposed to be warped by chaos are they?

The Strigoi are somehow a bit more beastly ghoulish than other vampires. I suppose GW just likes to have all the kinds when they can 8^) (The Carsteins and Lahmians are probably more the educated buggers and those Blood Dragons are... Well those medieval fighter vampires (Like Vlad the Impaler)... Then there's one more sort, some kind of magic-vampire that I can't remember the name of)

I have to admit I always envision my own Strigois as led by one of those eerie vampires rather than a Strigoi lord.

Well that image is in fitting with the strigoi backstory. Shinan is probably right in saying that GW likes to have all kinds. The Strigoi are supposed to be kind of wild, like out-of-control beastly ones, whereas the cultured ones you're thinking of are more likely to be the von Carstein, Lahmians, or even the Blood Dragons ( who are like knights). Actually of the whole group I can only imagine the Carsteins or the BDs playing BB. But both ogre-sized and half bat sound good, they're both powers available to Strigoi Vampires in Warhammer. ( Massive Monstrosity, or Bat Form)
