We'll have to keep track of 3 different types of re-rolls : team classic one-s, leader one, brillant coaching one (and sometimes will have to chose between leader or brilliant coaching one). |
well spotted. |

Sure, but you are not factoring in your opponent's turn. Now if I want you to score and I cannot get into your cage, I will blitz to open a gap for you. I will push one of the front corners of your cage and then get out of the way. Now on your turn, your path is clear to the endzone and if you do not score you are wasting time. |

Except you just reform the cage in the same formation, and you are no longer wasting time? |

That seems unnecessarily fiddly. It's not a big deal, but it's still unfortunate. I had hoped the new edition would be an opportunity to cut down on special case rules, not add more. |

Agreed. Less things to keep track of is always better. |

No. If your turn starts with the ball carrier in range to score without rolling dice and you choose not to score, by this rule, you are wasting time. The check is made before you start moving any players. It does not matter what the situation is when the offense ends it's turn. You are wasting time if your turn starts with all the conditions met and then you do not score that turn.
If the defense leaves a clear path to the endzone for the ball carrier to score without rolling dice you have to take it or pay whatever the penalty may be for wasting time.
If you are able to stall with your ball carrier outside of scoring range, you are fine. |

If there is no defenders and the MA is big enough, you can go out and around the corners of the cage. If you form it away from the endzone, then yes, you will eventually have to GFI to get in and the rule doesnt apply, but I dont think the phrasing of the "rule" is ambiguous. |

So, letting the opponent ball carrier to easily walk to End Zone could be a better tactic than aggressively shutting down his path, with this Time Wasting rule.
Sounds as a paradox.
I understand the reasons behind the rule but sounds funny if you think of the situations it can create. |

Does rolling dice include Blood Lust tests, Bonehead tests etc. for the Time Wasting rule?
Because for a Vampire could be risky trying to score even without GFI/Dodges etc. if there is no Thrall to bite nearby. |

Most likely Blood lust is simplified now, so that you can score even if you fail, that way the roll is moot. |
