Well the blitzers don't have block. I know a few people said they would get ST 4 blockers, but I'm a little surprised they went for it. What do people think? |

This is a bizarre roster. No blocks, two str 4 players, no more catchers but good throwers.
Hit an Run seems not too OP, it gives a free movement after a block action but you cannot stand against another opponent or be based. |

I’d like to try hit and run, it could potentially be quite strong.
I think they lose out initially by having no block, but are probably better off long term with ma7 and str4 on the roster. At least they’re more interesting than their last incarnation. |

huh. it's a different squad without 4 (or any blodgers) out of the box. It's a lot less cookie cutter, and I think it'll be more fun to play and play against.
I don't know how effective they'll be, especially at lower tv levels without any block, but I think it's a good change for them. |

you can still get a squads of 12 with 2 bliters, 2 blockers, 1 thrower, 7 linewoman, and 3 re-rolls. (or skips a linewoman and buy an apoth.)
I think it's a pretty good starting roster, even without block? |

4 x Blitzers
7 x Linewomen
4 x Re-rolls
1 x Apothecary
Total 960k
+4 x Dedicated Fans |

So do the Piranha Warrior Blitzers have Agility access, Strength access or both? |

Hit n Run is an extra free square of movement? so on top of their MV7?
If its an extra free square, it means they're MV8 on the blitz.. ? that's massive
So they could get +MV +MV = MV9, and then Hit n Run + Rush + Rush + Sprint = natural one turner?
It also pairs well with Frenzy, means they're not likely to get counter-surfed, and gives them more reach to avoid needing Rushes |

potentially, yes, as it does not specify that the block has too be on its own and not part of a blitz action (cfr. juggs/brawler)
you would need to start the turn on scrimmage, blitz diagonally one opponent also on scrimmage, follow up and be able to "hit and run" away from them and 1 square ahead respecting all the caveats from the trait, that would leave you with 8 squares of movement plus 3 GFIs if sprint is present
if the opponent has backlined, that normally leaves you with a 5+, a 4+ and a 3+ dodge, excluding all the ball handling rolls up to the 4+ (or worse) catch roll
theorethically doable, and probably more exciting/interesting than the old style MA10 sprint gutter runner
probably near-impossible if the opponent has not backlined
but then again, you could blitz any other piece not on scrimmage if there's a chance of doing that trick against THEM |

I suspect it only works on a block, rather than a blitz. You can alread do this on a blitz (if you have a movement point left).
That player is a pretty cool new addition, and a lot more fun that the old catchers. The big difference is the replacement for the old 0-4 blitzers.
Zons will work differently know with the str. 4 blockers, who can quickly become strength 4 blodgers, which is great. There isn't another str. 4 dodger out of the box, is there? |
