SAD COWBOY'S SONG

"We were born in Chernobyl ..."

First Week : Sad Cowboy's Song vs. Lost Vegas Prowlers

http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&op=view&id=165275

Score : 4 - 1 victory to Sad Cowboy's Song Evil or Very Mad
TDs : 5 ( over the spread of 2.5 )
Cas : 4 ( over the spread of 3.5 )

After first kickoff it seemed what Sad Cowboy's Song players are totally unable to handle the ball. It was pouring down the rain and slipery field surface made a start a little bit trickery and Lost Vegas Prowlers player Honey got her first touchdown.
She was nice, touchdown was nice too. But in a moments of second kick off sun began to shine behind the clouds and so did Sad Cowboy's Song's teams determination to win their first match.

GOBLIN EATERS

week 1: vs TrollHunters
3-1 loss
Game Report: http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&op=view&id=165638

Comment: A very bloody match. Within the first few turns, I manged to kill 2 of my own Gobbos with failed dodges. That combined with two that niggled at the beginning of the game, and one that was SI'd,i had serious ball handling issues with just one gobbo who had a bullseye onhis green chest. I did manage to take out 6 norseman by the end of the game, but i had to dig myself out of too big a hole. Good game xJx.

Troll Hunters

First week Trollhunters - Goblin Eaters 3 - 1, 4 - 6

Bookers had predicted that this would be the bloodiest game of the week. In the beginning it looked bad for those who wanted big casualty numbers, 2 goblins couldn't play due to niggling injuries and 2 more died on dodge attempts early on first half. But slowly and surely we picked up the pace and in the end when 10 casulaties were on the scoreboard 3 goblins were on the morgue. Thanks for a bloody game SirSlappy.

CRYPTOZOOLOGIST NITEMARES

Week 1: 2 - 0 , 2 - 4 vs. Boneheads

http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&op=view&id=166060

Looks like I beat the spread in this hard fought battle with Claude. My team proved to be just a little more bashy this day when it mattered. Thanks for the game Claude and good luck!

THE RED SKULLS

Week1: Red Skulls 1 vs 1 Martial Arts United

Confident of victory, the Red Skulls marched out onto the field.
The whistle blew and....
briiing briiing
The coaches mother phones up!
While he's distracted 'Randy Corpselover' the skulls new ghoul decides to try and sneak around the back of the Arts' scrimmage line and promptly falls over an outstretched foot (cloven hoof) and falls arse over tit.

The coach manages to get rid of his Mum whilst the Arts' are busy kicking the crap out of the Skulls front line.

He quickly reorganises the defense and by the end of the half has managed to not only wrestle the ball free but score a TD. The crowd goes wild.
Surely they've gotta win now?

Second half (blizzard) just doesn't go too well - no big mistakes, just no firm plan B after plan A fails to work early on.
A hole is spotted in the defense and the ball carrier darts through, but with no backup he falls foul of a beastman assault - then they just can't get players back fast enough (or have enough luck) to stop a last minute TD.
Gutted - they will be.

Well played Hax - you earnt the draw.

Week 2: 'Tarzom outpunches Bunny' Red Skulls 1 vs 0 Savage-Immortals

After last week's game the Skulls were a bit more nervous as thay came up against, what on paper, looked like a stronger team.
But, right from the off it all went the skulls way. They won the toss and decided to attack. All the players performed well and luck was with them, two early casualties gave them the advantage for the rest of the game.
The first (and only) TD was careful without being painfully slow. The elfs stil had a chance for an equaliser but fluffed an easy dodge resulting in a ko and loose ball. The Skulls quickly grabbed the ball and sent a lone skeleton downfield to receive (fat chance!), but the Immortals were having none of that and smacked that skelly down. With no more chance to score before half time the Skulls made a huddle around the ball carrier.

During half time the Skulls coach swapped the Immortals hairspray for spraymount, so come the second half the elfs were static as the Skulls began whomping. But the immortals managed to loose a receiver, if only their thrower had read the playbook! Maybe it was the bright Sun, but the throw was way off leaving the ball on the side line far from the main scrummage. A quick blitz brought down the elf receiver leaving the Skulls to pick up the ball and run, but just as they were about to the elfs left the pitch to the jeers of their own supporters.

Bad luck Bunny - though I dont blame you for wanting to save your players

Mordakai's Army

Week One:
Mordakai's Army 0 vs 0 Vinny's Pub
Vinny's Pub favored by .5 (Didn't happen)
Touchdowns O/U: 1.5 (0... definately under)
Casualties O/U: 3.5 (2 vs 1 = 3...under. Would've been over if it weren't for regeneration Wink )
Match Link: http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&op=view&id=168436

Well, the first match is over, and nothing too impressive.

Vinny's Pub received the first kick-off, and managed to push their way 3/4 down the field before surrounded by the undead army. In what all thought was sure to be a touchdown, the dwarven ball-carrier failed a dodge, fell over, and dropped the ball. Both teams spent the next 3 turns in a wicked scrum, trying to pick p the ball, until finally the whistle blew.

Second half Mordakai's Army had to receive a perfect kick which landed on the end-zone line. By the time the bony thrower got to the ball and started making his way back to his strong front line... a couple dwarves had broken the line, and were heading toward him. Another scrum ensued, and after one of the Blitz-Ras and one of the hard hitting Mummies played a game of "Hot Potato", the ball finally ended up in the Blitz-Ra's hands. He made a break up field, and was out of anyone's tackle range for what was, once again, thought to be a definate touchdown. However, a dwarven runner managed to catch up to the corpse and trip him up, as he tried to dodge to freedom, and the end-zone... dropping the ball on turn eight.

Well fought by both teams... now we just need to find some players that can hang on to the damned ball! Wink

Land Lubbers

Well the Land Lubbers played their 1st game in this dirty city today, facing off against the infamous and naughty Roaming Rampaging Rapids.
It was a tough battle, but the Land Lubbers fell 1-4. They did manage to get a kill though, so their will be one less Amazon in the old world now.

http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&id=173338

Awfully strange game with a few brave elves holding off lots of chaos players, and whith the chaotics having some real problems with handling the ball and even injuring wood elves...
