The World Cup Organisation Committee is proud to announce that the links for Rental Car and Hotel Reservations are now available on the official WC4 webpage (under "Registration"). It is available in all 5 languages.
Please note, that despite our efforts to reach the lowest prices possible, there might be limited special offers on Expedia.com, Booking.com or other webpages, which are cheaper than the rates we have negotiated. Before making reservations, we advise you to explore these options as well." |

If you figure out how to make it work for less than 750-1000 quid let me know.... other than by staying in a youth hostel ten miles away that is. |

You can go and book a flat with your squad outside of Dornbirn and rent a car. Cheap flights near Dornbirn will be possible - depends on where you live. And for everything else it depends on you for what you can save money. 😉 |

I think that’s a pessimistic reading of the situation, Robin. I’ve also heard of Brits budgeting for £300, which feels optimistic. I’d guess it’ll be £450-550 when all is said and done, if neither skimping nor having steak every evening.
But sure, foreign travel / BB costs money, and it’s not an insignificant sum to spend on playing toy soldiers away from your family. Hopefully the four year cycle allows most to save up both cash and Brownie points; this is the big daddy of all Blood Bowl tournaments, after all. |

I know Australien friends who save every month $100 to travel every four years to the WorldCup. Just an idea. Surely for this WorldCup time is to short to handle it this way.
Cheap flights to Europe, rent a car and book a flat. Only some ideas. |

It’s great to see how many from Oceania / NA make it every time. It’s clearly not cheap, and it’s phenomenal commitment that helps make the WC so special. With the growth of the game in South Africa and South America, perhaps we’ll be even more multicultural than usual this time..?
The hype train is unstoppable!
If you are an online only coach stumbling across this thread wondering what all the fuss can possibly be about - you could do a lot worse than this being your tabletop debut. You will not play in a better tournament anywhere on any format. And if it’s your debut, I’ll buy you a beer or two, if I can find you in a sea of > 1000 coaches! |

Make a gofundme campain with your team to cover partof the cost. Give a good reason why you should be at the world cup and im sure you can get some costs covered that way. Be creative, offer someone to teach bloodbowl, paint the team for them, design some logos, whatever you like to do in the blood bowl universe im sure you can trade that together with some goodwill into some cash.
But surely noone wants to support somebody who is whining about cost like poeple whine about bad dice... |
