True as well. |
Yes but you can reroll the both down with brawler and the other dice of the same 2d block with pro if needed |

Agile teams rely on several 1d actions, which are riskier than 2d blocks often thrown by bash/hybrid teams.
Being able to rr more than 1d-action in the very last turn can make a big difference for agile teams, for example when trying to score the TD. |

I was reliably lied to. These things happen. |

Or you were told the truth, but GW figured it would be more hassle/time to fix the wording than to just leave it as is. Not like they're that fussed about the small details. |

I think as well this was a printing error and they basically agreed it would bring too much discussion to have such a huge part of the game in an Errata/FAQ. you know how many people would never read any of the Errata FAQ and then realize they have played the game wrong all the time. and this is obviously not something like can I chainpush crowdsurf with a Grab vs an ss player which happens once in 1000 games, this is used almost every game. |

The frustrating thing is that GW can get 80% of the way there; they write great fluff, have compelling stories, get the basic rules down and make games we want to play.
Then it's like they just give up and go to the pub. "We got bored, I'm sure it's fine". So you get dumb typos and rules gaps/contradictions that the community spots within hours of release. They could do so much better with only a little bit more effort, but apparently choose not to. It was the same with Warhammer Fantasy Battle, and by all accounts is the same with 40K. Now they're bringing their legendary diligence and eye for detail to Blood Bowl. Yay.

Boom!
Why is this the end of the world? It's a cool and interesting change adding a new flavour to the game we all know and love.
It does a few interesting things:
1. There is now a point to having MORE than 8 rerolls.
2. It is now useful to have more rerolls in general.
3. Rerolls are now more valuable (since you can do more with them).
4. Block teams can more reliably block - you can fail multiple 2 dice blocks in a given turn.
5. You can do "riskier" actions earlier in a team turn, and not worry about not having a reroll later for the actions you want to take.
6. Might lead to some crazy elf dodging shenanigans and make blitzes sacking the ball carrier easier (since if you have a reroll left, you can reroll that final blitz on him even if you used a reroll on the way to get there).
7. Piss off a few gnarly blood bowl veterans that are resistant to change.
8. Make everyone else excited about having to rethink their blood bowl tactics. |

Anything that opens up the game to perform more risky plays probably is a good thing in general. It would reduce those safe plays being less safe.
Have another one or two re-rolls probably is a thing now. |

7. Is fair enough as long as new coaches really do come in to replace them. |

It is a trade-off. Some elements of Fumbbl require a certain critical mass of coaches/teams to function. Especially on certain time zones.
Sometimes you just have to hope that you do not draw the guy(s) that you don't like.
Or not play. But that reduces the coach/team pool further.
I guess we can be hopeful that some of the zero game guys will play once we switch over. |

I'm sure that "Will it be tricky for Christer to code this?" had a part in the decision making process...
This is clearly an error that they are representing as an "Unintentional Feature". |
