Background
I played Warhammer Fantasy for a long time, but never gave Blood Bowl much thought. Once I saw the new models release in my local store around 2016, I started looking into it and found that there wasn't much of a player scene where I live. I decided to look online and I found BB Chaos Edition on Steam. I played it quite a bit against the AI but never actually playing against people. A few years later I was cleaning out a closet and found some of my old Warhammer models, specifically a unit of Savage Orcs. Age of Sigmar had destroyed my interest in Fantasy, so I started thinking about converting them to be a BB team. Which led me to start thinking again about where I could play. I found a Facebook group of folks that had a league a few hours from me, so I set to work converting and painting. A member of the group made a post about a Fumbbl league at one point, and I decided to check it out. So, here I am.

I started with Orcs, then transitioned to Black Orcs and loved them. Losing the Sneaky Git with the move, then guard not assisting fouls moved me away to Dwarves. I currently play Dwarves nearly exclusively. I've been enjoying gaining a deeper knowledge of the guard skill, positioning, and sorting through complex cages.

I rarely play higher than 1500 TV. It feels like the skill stacks past this point create a very different game, that I just haven't found fun to play.

There was a Bonehead Podcast that described the types of players there are. Based on that I've determined I'm a "veteran" player that isn't willing to put in the time to be an elite player. I enjoy learning about the game: strategies, match ups, line ups, skill progressions, etc. I have a fairly strong grasp on the game mechanics, but I'm not willing to put in the time to be an elite player. I play a couple games a week, but the idea of multiple Black Box runs for instance is far beyond me. Video if interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1UzZ0-VcGY

I often will type up a match report after a game with "Tactical Takeaways." These are solely for the purpose of identifying errors or successes in my game, discussing the match-up, and ways I can improve moving forward. These are not meant to be a critique of my opponent.
