Well i finally got to face an opponent across the wind swept plains of the battle field. Yet another Orc raid on my poor dwarfs Brewery. Some highlights included a dwarf crossbowman getting driven into the ground by a huge rock, only to climb out from under it unharmed, but had been forced to spill his beer. After he and his lads rallied they were all a bit dazed and forgot their oath to kill the offending crew, all having to take the slayers oath as a consequence. A fine showing by the dwarf engineers and their cannon resulted in a spectacular display of range guessing. However their cannon balls all proved a bit heavy, not exactly bouncing the best.
An abysmal showing from lady luck left the dwarfs high and dry, apart from one major maneuvering error the dwarfs hadn't committed to many tactical errors. Lady luck though abandoned them resulting in a parade of 1's and 2's on various rolls. All in all they held on to the bitter end with a few units still taking the fight to the enemy at the end of turn 6. Morale victory it may be but a lose none the less.
