Yesterday, my blackbox Woodie team was
beaten by a human team that has two star players (MB PO /tackle/frenzy /etc- what an original combo). The strategy of the other coach was very efficient: to blitz with one of the two star player each turn to kill as many players has he can. And that worked. My star player,
Gael, died twice. 2 other experienced players were crippled. The wardancer retired after the came, and the other one will have to retire sooner or later.
Of course, such things happen from time to time, it's bloodbowl. Until this game, I was quite lucky with the cas. 12 out of my 17 games were against bashy teams and I had only 1 experienced player dead and one perm injury. My only regret (and my main mistake during the game) was to care about the ball, instead of gang fouling the two killers each turn until they die.
Oh, I forgot to mention the most annoying part of the game: the comments of the other coach, who denied to have a killer team (95 cas caused in 25 games, but of course it's not a killer team) and was like "hey, look, my rookie lineman was SI on your first block, so we're even about the casualties".
Ok, now I can stop whinning and focus on rebuilding this team. The woodie show must go on in the Box.
