1017 games, 6 years and 18 days ago I found salvation.

Bloodbowl in my youth was my game, amongst all my mates playing 40K I chose BB. ( I was poor and always got to borrow someones squat army)

I loved it, played in a local(ish) league playing 2nd Ed. That died, then I found some guys playing 3rd Ed. Beat them all by stalling for 2-1 with cd's. They stopped inviting me to play. That was a long time ago.

Played the DOS BB which was really poor. I mean REALLY poor. AI was still better than cyanide though.

Having clocked over 1000 games here has been a trial at times but endless fun. I've had an identity crisis, run into some incredible people, and some not so incredible.

The greatest thing I did was join the SWL. Playing league gives BB a reason. Meeting a great bunch of aussies (and foreigners who don't sleep) who share the passion for BB was a bonus. I even managed to win a trophy, played out of my skin to do it.

Now I love playing just for the game, win/draw/lose is just a result nothing more. Am I great, no, but I'm better with every game. Recently joined my first major and lost a great game vs PeteW, no shame there.

For the 1000 game milestone teamed up with Luohghcra from SWL for a great gobbo bash
. Never laughed so hard in a game.

Lastly big thanks to Christer for the site and constant evolution of BB for everyone. Everyone in SWL, notably danielcollins, Luohghcra, Tomay, and Barre (admin team).

Special mention to the mouse for keeping me sane during a rough patch with many late night convo's from Nippon.
