A short lament for Stunty Leeg
I personally would like to see at least one race not start with dodge and/or stunty.

Feel free to go wild with the embryo of an idea that I had for the Chaos Dwarf Daemon Engine team. I was thinking the core of the team would be an 4 Chainsaws (with AG 2?). Daemon Engines probably wouldn't be dodgy machines; I was thinking Stand Firm. But as it's just an embryo of an idea spurred by recent developments of the CD in Warhammer. I definitely like the Fluff. The preponderance of 'Saws (along with no/little dodge?) would definitely make for a much more unique team than the recurring -ling proposals that pop up constantly. As for Novel Playing style, I'm sure you/someone could make sure that happens, as I think just the embryo that I see developing looks very encouraging. Definitely a FUN team!

I'd also like to also encourage others who are fans of any of my previous ideas to feel free to take up the gauntlet and make a push for their inclusion into the Leeg. I'm busy with Teachers' College (and I'm probably only ever going to be coming back to FUMBBL to play on the fun Anniversary Days, if at all). I'd like to think that my designs are well-thought out or at the very least consistent with the current crop of teams that make up the Leeg. IMHO, such common design principles not only make for interesting individual races but add to a coherent feel to the whole Leeg.

At one point I was going to make this more concrete. I did a bit with my Guide to Stunty Leeg Proposals and A History of the Leeg. I tried to develop more of the background of the Leeg with the SLEDGE (another gauntlet to pick up?). The T.N.T. fleshed out a bit more of the Gnomes' background. The other events really only created some Corporate Stunty Leeg brands.

I had planned to do more "storytelling" with the SLEDGE but just managing them proved more than a handful largely due to a very few rather obnoxious coaches. It's a poor excuse but it killed my enthusiasm for the Leeg. (But I seemed to have made my regeneration roll, as I'm still writing on this site).

My goal of developing a good page in FUMBBL's Unbelievably Majestic Big Book of Lore for the Leeg with a solid well written background piece for each of the Leeg's races. Not only could it have provided some fun writing projects and some more concrete imagery that would be very helpful to those coaches not as familiar with the BloodBowl/Warhammer universe. I was hoping to complete the Leeg project that I and others had been building over the years. I wanted to be able to show others the amount of thought and dedication that went into the development of the Leeg. Because as it stands, I think a lot of coaches just see a bunch of numbers and skills, while missing a lot of the more "artistic" nature of the Leeg.

For this I deeply apologize. I wish I could have toughed it out and handed off a more detailed project. For those who are about to embark on the huge project of redeveloping the Leeg, I wish you the best of luck! You're going to have to endure a tremendous amount of muck-flinging. You are not going to be able to please everyone. My advice: make sure you know the Leeg well, have a clear vision of what you want to develop, stick to your principles, don't be afraid to make frequent tweaks to the teams as you won't be able to anticipate everything, develop a REALLY thick skin and most importantly, have loads of fun & mayhem while designing and playing with/in the Leeg!
