First Win! Joined Rank and League
So in order to play games more suited to me I followed the advice and created a team in [R]anked. Elves, quite a lot of fun, much more running and passing than slogging it out with blocks. Played one game against my friend which ended in a draw at the last second!
However then found out we couldn't play against each other again for 10 games so new teams were made in [L]eague. I liked the elves play style but this time went for Wood Elves for the Wardancers.
2 WD and 9 Linemen, 2 rerolls and 3 fan factor.
This was a lucky game for me as I WON! very excited, particually because one of my TDs was from a leaping blitz past 5 guys blocking picking up the ball and carrying it over the line - EPIC
I did so well (read: my friend got very unlucky on armor rolls) that one of my players got 6 SPP points just from that one game. So block I gave to him (any advice on skillz very welcome). And bought myself a thrower as I had the money and I have two players out missing a game.

Get block, dodge and guard on players... it's not exciting but it's the most reliable way of pounding your opponents into the dirt and keeping them there.

On wood elves, give every lineman dodge as first normal skill, except for 1 who gets kick. The first 3 dodgers who get a second skill, give block. The rest, give wrestle.
