Wanted: new FUMBBL Admins.

Qualifications:

1. Know and uphold the rules of FUMBBL;
2. Work well with other Admins;
3. Play every once in a while.

Dear Christer, I hope you read this post. It is time for a change. We desperately need a new crop of admins, with no over-riding "director of ranked" to chase off good staff.

I will stick to the facts that I know and will not discuss what I have heard second hand from various other former staff members.

There is a current pattern of power brokering and abuse of volunteer staff. No one wants to work under such a regime and many of FUMBBL's best and most enduring personalities have been chased off or denied a chance to help. We have ONE person controlling the entire climate of the site and that should not be. Especially a person that does not even play the game.

Angie has done a huge amount of work for the site and it has been appreciated. At one time she was helpful and earnest and worked well with the other admins. Those times have changed. She needs a break and so does FUMBBL.

So Christer, I am personally asking you to appoint a new staff of 6-8 Admins that can all share the power equally and give each other a break. I am not asking to be one of them to avoid any conflict of interest. I am recommend many good ones on request. I hope you take this seriously because it has become a serious issue. Trog and Peikko could easily train the new staff to handle things and work WITH them to handle problems and run tournaments.

IMO, FUMBBL is one of the greastest things ever on the web and I would hate to see that change.

My story? I was happy to help--very happy even. I asked questions, tried to solve problems, followed the rules. I was then approached in private chat and told I had been accused to abusing someone in a private channel. I asked who/what/when/where/why/how? All questions rebuffed. I said, let's talk to Christer. I was told Christer should not be bothered. I said, "open up a ticket" and let's get it resolved properly because it did NOT happen. Nope, only one person gets to handle it and not through the rules. I provided logs from various sources that cleared my name. Nope, guilty until proven innocent. I was told we can't have "staff breaking the rules". I broke no rules, but I agree, we CAN'T have staff breaking the rules.

Let's fix that.
