[DLE] Why everyone wants the Wreckers scouts
With the big guy Colin Cole recently learning how to better support his team mates while on the pitch we thought we'd look into the remarkable rookies to have come out of Monte Castello, and others as well.

Moses Fairbanks jr

To say he was a rookie from the start of the inaugural season of the DLE you wouldn’t think that to look at him now. It’s been a long road but he’s gone from greenhorn LOS player to someone commanding a top fee. The Wreckers were sad to see Fairbanks leave but the offer was just too good to pass up. Whilst training with the Wreckers he learnt how to block, got stronger, learnt how to tackle and learnt to unleash his rage on opponent's.

Matty Camo

Coming in during season 2 and being recruited just before game 5 Camo didn’t do much for his first few games before an increase in agility catapulted Camo to top catcher. He currently holds the record of most TD's with 13 while he was at the Wreckers. In addition to an increase in agility he also learned to stop himself from being blocked down, how to roll with punches to position himself better and also the art of leaping though this had mixed results. After Tim Brown came to the Wreckers Camo found himself having less minutes on the pitch but was still considered an invaluable player. Camo unfortunately died dodging away to score against Irrana Avalanche with the app unable to save him. May he rest in peace and inspire a new generation of catchers.

Chad Clifton

Chad Clifton came in just before season 3 game 8 as a stop gap player to fill the ranks until the trade window opened after round 9. After picking up an MVP in his first game against the Bucs the sharks began to sniff around and had offered a 4th rounder for him which was accepted as there were no long term plans for him with the Wreckers. There was however a void clause in case he skilled and showed great potential. Clifton did manage to skill in game 9 and showed a massive increase in strength voiding the trade deal. The Broekwater Patriots were soon on the case offering their franchise player and picks for Clifton. A slightly controversial trade at the time the Wreckers needed some draft capital to make up for constant frontloading and Hightower, although a dud in the end brought in much needed personnel after being decimated in round 9 by the Wolfskins. Through this trade the Wreckers would go on to bring in both Hanna and Tate, Hanna almost single handedly took the Wreckers to the playoffs and Tate has blossomed into a fine Blitzer. Clifton is remembered fondly despite only playing 2 games as his eventual sale saved the Wreckers from a season or 2 of mediocrity.

Colin Cole

The newest addition to the list Cole only came in just before game 5 of season 4, Replacing Amini Silatolu who had been the Wreckers ogre for 2 and a half seasons. Colin Cole wasted no time stamping his authority as he managed 5 casualties in his first 5 games. Another player who was able to take his strength to the next level Cole has also learnt to help his teammates on the field and seems to have a bright future with the Wreckers.

Aaron Rodgers
This rookie came in after the death of Hoffnung and although he has yet to see his full potential he has become a fan favourite and has developed quickly. Another player close to attaining a new level of ability the backroom staff are hoping Rodgers can fulfil his potential and be a long term replacement for Hoffnung.

That covers the rookies. The next post will cover other diamonds the Wreckers have found during their time in the DLE

HHmm, let's see. Fairbanks? Sold. Camo? Dead. Clifton? Sold. Cole? Hooray, at least one who is still playing in Wreckers' jersey ;)

And no mentioning of Tim Brown? Whos career at Razorbacks was at stand still, but then he came to Wreckers and went from ag4 to ag5, and now the sky is the limit for him.

Actually not the sky. He tried to develop another AG, but it was not successful due to some human limits. :)
