A few weeks ago I decided to sign up for the Fumbbl Minor TR150 with my undead team Flirty to the Bone. I didn't have much spare cash and had to fire a sidestepping ghoul with -st to make the TR limit, but this way I could participate in my very first ranked tournament (haven't even played a Smack). Wasn't expecting to get far especially after seeing the names of some of the coaches in the tournament, but hey : participating is more important than winning, right ? :p

Well, turns out I actually made it to the final of the FUMBBL Minors 150TR II-1 :)

You could say I had luck at my side at times (especially 2nd game against Manp) but I'd say it was just my players who are pro at flirting, stealing all the oppositions girlfriends and female fans prior to each to demoralize them. In the semi final they flirted just enough with Jokaero's amazons to gain us the victory on coin toss.

In the final however I didn't play wel against Astrix. Started off well with a good foul on his strongest wight, but then got a bit careless and fumbled a hand-off which almost led to a td for him too. Second half I couldn't treaten his ball carrier enough and it was basicly over when I put my ghouls and wights too much out of position. So alas, no instant succes on my first tournament. First loss in 16 games for the Flirters too, not a bad record for me.

But there's still the future ! I got to improve my game and I definitely have to improve the way I prepare teams for coming tournaments. And maybe then I can get that first tournament win in my profile ;)
