Bandwagon
I decided to talk about what everyone talks about right now (and during the entire last year.)

The flaws in CRP.
We see a lot of people taking sides during the discussions and yet talk about very different things.

So I decided to make a list of all the different opinions out there and point out where the differences are.

Position 1:
Everything is wrong about CRP rules. (LRB4 conservatives)
Solution:
Revert back to LRB4.

Position 2:
The stacking of claw+mb+piling on is broken. (Mainstream)
Solution:
A variety of ways to make it unstack were proposed.
a) Among them to make it entirely unstack.
b) Make Piling On not stack on rerolls came to prominence due to that implementation into leagues.

Position 3:
Claw is the problem. (Orc Fraction)
Solution:
a) Make mutations doubles/traits.
b) Alter the team value for some skills.
I have heard other solutions getting discussed but that was pretty much the only one I remember to be proposed. The problem is that recreating LRB4 claws would just make it even more powerfull although it would ultimativly reduce the agility advantage. (Agile teams being too strong is often discussed with this theory.)

Position 4:
Piling On is the problem. (My Opinion)
Solution:
a) Make Piling On work like in LRB4 (only on armor rolls). The methods to increase a fail chance on the injury roll should be very limited.
b) Another solution would be to remove Piling on from the skill board alltogether.
c) I also proposed to make it work like in LRB4 but additionally on fouls. (Extra Carnage Solution)
d) Make fouls more effective. This solution is also prominent with combined theories but probably best placed here, since it adresses Piling On most directly. The argument is that Piling on has an additional advantage because the attacker can protect himself from counterattacks by lying on the ground. According to this idea the universal access to DP is supposed to create balance again.

Position 5:
Not Clawpomb but MinMaxing is the problem. / Minmaxed Clawpomb is the problem. (Black Box Frustrationalists)
Solution:
This issue is most prominent with blackbox. So several changes to the sceduling process have been suggested.
Some people seem to percieve it as a problem independend of blackbox. League however can build its own restrictions. Ranked seems to allow to avoid such teams. The appeal of this theory is that it doesnt critisize the rules themselves wich according to site policy are not to be alterd. Suggestions to alter fumbbl rather then the rules have therefore theoretically a higher chance to be heard.
a) Reintroduction of a fumbbl internal team strengh to measure a teams skill. An issue here is that difference in TR is balanced out by inducements.
b) An entirely different matchmaking system that includes other factors like coaching skill.
c) Tier based matchmaking system.
d) See solution for position 6.

Position 6:
Internet people are douchy. (Idealists)
Solution:
Be nice. It's the usual utopist theory wich is also prominent among marxists and anarchists. Normally the supporters of these theories admit that their solution is unrealistic to work.

Position 7:
CRP is fine as it is. (Adaptables)
Solution:
Nothing should to be done. This opinion usually recognises the flaws in the system but prefers to ignore them for the time being.

There are probably a couple of other opinions out there too but these should cover about 90% of what is repeated on a day to day basis. If you have other (serious) opinions I'll be glad to add them.

PO is the problem.

People who can't see this are largely mentally retarded.

A good summary. For those reading this who are not aware, several of the above proposed solutions are being addressed either as above or in very similar forms in the new options for leagues that are in development. I wonder if large open leagues with a few key options turned on that refresh every few days (IE it starts to look a lot like the ranked division with new rules) will take off once the new client is launched...? Stay tuned I guess!
