Seems I've finally hit the 1k mark for matches played in Ranked on FUMBBL. Scary really when I think how many hours that adds up to. Probably unsuprisingly over a third of them were with zombies, sadly however (for me anyway) the 1000th match ended in yet another defeat for the
Dirty Cranberries during a run of particularly bad form for them. I doubt very much I've improved much as a coach in the last year or two, but I have been having a lot of fun. They've even become the richest ever team on FUMBBL. Not really sure what the hell to do with nearly 12 million, but I may have a big blowout inducements moment in their 500th game.
I've played a lot of really fun people, memorably including
The Great Gobbo,
Kam and of course
Carlo Pellegatti. I've lost in hilarious circumstances, drawn with spectacular luck and even sometimes won with skill (although usually with splatting more of them they they have me).
I bloody love this site, not just for the game itself, but for the amount of freedom it gives you to make dumbass teams with crazy themes - and it's free! Another big thing is just how little trolling and other usual internet crap there is here, a very rare thing these days.
I've reduced my number of games played a bit lately, partly due to enjoying a lot of lovely things happening out in the real world, and partly because I've been working on various side projects both here and elsewhere.
For those interested here are the side projects:
