Revelleerz reach their 100th win!
What a ride this has been...
Six years after their debut, when a squad of rookies (still green behind their ears) set foot on the pitch for the first time, the Revelleerz won their 100th game, becoming the first Goblin team across all FUMBBL leagues to reach this mark. The roster has changed during the years, due to retirement or death (140) of players, but almost every single player has contributed in a way to bring this team to the spot where it is today. Sure, there have also been a couple of losses (245 to be exact), but still... this win marks a milestone which is worth putting some of the team's stars into spotlight!

- Legend -

The Revelleerz' pillar. With 315 games under his belt, he is not only the team's oldest player, but one of the oldest active players in the league altogether, at 3rd place (1st place taken by a potioned Mummy and 2nd place by a bloody tree, surely that doesn't count!). His long career and ferocity have left a deep impact on the game and secured him several all-time No1 spots in various categories among fanatics. It will probably take a long time until someone contests Ree-Yeeez' undisputed GFOAT status...
The side effect of his fame is that the referees usually know about him, so his deadly flail (which caused oh so many split heads) is not as "secret" as it used to be. So by the end of his drive, he is usually sent off (unless, of course, the coach managed to have a "chat" with the ref beforehand), which is almost the only way for the opponent to get Ree-Yeeez off the pitch.

Usually, the Revelleerz' offence revolves around Ree-Yeeez: he smashes his way towards the endzone (kind of), while the rest of the team reacts and fills up the space Ree-Yeeez has "cleansed" around himself. Hopefully, by the end of the drive, most of the opponent's players are laying on the ground or have been carried off the pitch.

- Legend -
Ranking 2nd on the all-time list for Oldest Players on Goblin Teams (only behind his teammate Ree-Yeeez), Gum Bollox has evolved into the team's leading basher. Even today, after countless fights took their toll and he struggles with some chronic back pain, nobody on the other team wants to face this ravaging brute. One would assume Gum is a mindless beast, but he is actually one of the smarter Trolls, sometimes even acting on his own without help of a teammate nearby! And by „acting“ we usually mean smashing something...

- Legend -
What Haz Smart lacks in cleverness, he makes up for with brute force. Few are able to stop him or hold him into place, and therefore he has made cage breaking his speciality. The look on the ball carrier's face, when Haz ravages into and breaks up a cage consisting of 4 or more opponents, only to bash the poor fellow into the ground, is what Haz lives (and regenerates) for.

- Legend -

Even though the Revellerz's usual team strategy is based on quick Pogoers carrying the ball to the endzone, Mitch Carver has broken this tradition by becoming the team's first star ball carrier without a stick. His speed and firm grip on the ball allow him to position himself very quickly behind a protecting screen of his teammates. Even those pesky Wardancers have a hard time stripping the ball off of him once he has found his place inside the cage. If the Big 3 (Haz, Gum and Ree-Yeez) follow the coaches plan (which...let's be honest, is not always guaranteed) and grind their way towards the endzone, Mitch can score with ease. Who needs pogo sticks!?

- Veteran -
(Legend, really...)

Baldrick...knows pain. And has begun to enjoy it. 188 games, countless broken bones, several burns, but hey...as long as his eyes and his throwing arm are intact, all is good! Starting the game far behind the LOS, he has one goal only: throwing his bombs right into the opposing ball carrier's face. More often that not, those damn burning tubes explode in his own face, unfortunately. This, and the fact that he immediately becomes blitzing target No 1 once he ignites his lighter, have made him one of the most injured players in the league. But, if he keeps his cool and his teammates can hold those sackers back, he can win the game for the team. It only needs one good throw to either knock the other ball carrier down or open up their screen, and they are in serious trouble..

The Revelleerz always had a tradition of developing great Pogoers as quaterbacks (at least until Mitch Carver established himself as the head of the team). Two of them reached legendary status before they died, which ensures them an eternal place at the Revellerz' Hall of Fame!

- Legend -
In 2nd place of all-time leading Pogoers.
Got ganged up by some cowardly Woddies who ended his career (and life), but his legacy will last forever. R.I.P.

- Legend -
In 3rd place of all-time leading Pogoers. Insanely fast. Despite his speed, he wasn't shy to get into the thick of things, which got him killed in the end...R.I.P.

And now? Chase the next milestones, of course: 200 wins and winning a major tournament! Keep an eye on the Revelleerz, they're just getting warmed up...
