@ Overhamsteren - the Lineman picture is actually resized to fit on here for disply, the real image is much larger. Coloring the lineman on here (the others are fine) will be difficult if you want to use a Fill-Tool for base coloring because it was so resized.. there are artifacts on it now.

@bghandras: the blog was written before pics were approved, perhaps that's why...

anyway, voted 6 for customising player pics!looks really nice.
I wish I new more about PS/gimp...

I have added link to ful-sized cleared lino image in the 1st Custom Human Player Pics blog post.

@Roland - the steps taken to do these are fairly simple, if was of interest to you I could make a quick tutorial or somthing like that.. a basic one just outlineing the various steps taken, I could do it fairly quickly with a Snot or Skink or somthing. I use Gimp and MSpaint :)
