Well, it seems I remember how to play elfball at least. My first game back with the darkies was against a Khemri team who had the usual ball-handling problems. All three of my scores came in the first half after my own kickoffs. Plain old "flood the backfield with elves and someone can sneak in and grab the ball" tactics. I got another lucky break in the first half when one of his mummies took himself out of the game on a block. That significantly lessened the pounding I took in the second half, where I had trouble moving the ball after receiving the kick. After getted mired in a mess of skeletons and mummies, I tried several times to heave the ball downfield to no success. I fumbled once, got intercepted once (By a skellie? seriously?), and finally just plain missed the pass. Oh well, it served the purpose of getting the ball away from my half of the field and provided for a decent brawl around the sidelines. Post-game I picked up Strip Ball for my 8mv Blitzer and bought another reroll. I was tempted to grab another Witch Elf instead, as the one I have generally earns her keep, but I know the reroll will also pay off big.
