Look! Breasts!
Now that I have your attention, I'm going to try and extort money from you.

On the 1st of April, I'll be running a 1/2 marathon, the Taunton 1/2 marathon to be specific. Seeing as I was doing this stupid this anyway, it seemed a good time to try and raise some money for charity.

A couple of years ago, my Nanna died and, several years before that, so did my Granddad. Both spent their final days in the excellent care of St Michael's Hospice in Basingstoke. In their memory, I'm hoping to raise enough money for two hours of specialist nursing - £200.

Therefore, I'm posting to ask for sponsorship. Anything that you are willing or able to give will be greatly appreciated. You can donate via paypal or pretty much any credit card over at Just Giving

Now, after beating you with an emotional stick, I'm prepared to offer a materialistic carrot.

This is a partial image of a lead miniature produced before 1996. After I've completed my run (and recovered), I will randomly select one generous individual; they will be sent the little guy as fast as the British Postal Service can carry him.

Everyone has an equal chance of winning, regardless of how much they donate, and I will post world-wide. If you could post here to say you've donated, it would make my handling of the contest a lot easier.

That's about it for now. I'll be sure to give you all some updates as I go. And because it might be a FAQ, I'm aiming for a 2 hour completion time.

Thanks for reading this - I really, really appreciate your time.

(In the interests of fair play, I should state that I am cross posting this thread to TFF and 40kforums, so hopefully, there will be lots of competition.)

(In the interestes of fair disclosure, you may have noticed that I gave no clue as to the identity of the miniature. In fact I didn't even say what game system he belongs in.)

On April 1st, I plan on being suspended for changing my coach picture to one of me with breast implants.

No Shadow, no breasts, no April fools.

Just a plea for help for a great cause.
