Saying "No" to Bad Rolls: or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Block
It is important to reference the game I'll be referencing in this post, so here's the link: https://fumbbl.com/p/match?id=3860088

So starting this game against Lizardmen, I knew it wasn't going to be an easy game, but all I had to do was protect my catcher as he picked the bal and get a bit lucky on a couple of 1d blocks to ensure an early scoring. Sadly, that wasn't the case. I had severe issues with possitioning from the beginning (As I'm still a noob trying to learn how to position correctly) and I got extremely unlucky with my 1d blocks, and, well, needless to say, that ended up getting me on a 2-0 disadvantage pretty quickly.

In any kind of foul mood, I would've just avoided this match altogether, and just started making silly plays. However, I wanted to still give the team a go. I might've lost the game, being one man short and 2 TDs behind, but I could still try to get some SPPs out of it, so I did my best during the second half. And in fact, the dice totally turned to my favor during second half: got a couple of CAS, got a touchdown on one of my linemen, and even killed one of the saurians! However, I still left with only 3 Pow!s and 1 Pow/Push. Most of my casualties and def downs came from both down's with Block. So I guess that was a good thing, how a simple skill managed to make a difference between an extremely crappy game, and a somewhat favorable one. If there's something you guys should totally take from this, if you haven't yet figured it out, is: never doubt the Block. It can completely save your games and give you a massive advantage over the opponent.

I'd like to hold off judgment on a thing like that, sir, until all the facts are in.

You learned a couple lessons that will definetly make you a better coach. Never give up and block is the best skill.

Keep the spirit going!
