250th ranked Game
I played now my 250th ranked Game. Time for a short look back.

The Start: Mid of May 2008 it was pointed out to me that this site exists, and with being both boardgame and roleplay enthusiast, I found the possibility to develop players/team beyond a single game intriguing. Even though the planned league never came into life, BBowl itself took hold.

The Meantime: The basics of the game were quickly learned, but in the heat of a game lots of mistakes occured and I had no strategy for a match. Result were lots of lost games and more cas than necessary to my rats and humans, which I used as starting races. Gradually more games were won and to be true I can not point out a single big difference in my playstyle, but I believe its the result of training and the sum of small improvements.

The Now: Entered lately my very first major and made it up to the WO qualifier final, which I was very happy about. But I get reminded constantly there is still lots to learn and improve. In a lot of cases, I detect a better move just the second after I click "move ended" with one of my players. Further I have the impression I am not sufficient ruthless, even though its improving.

The Good: The concept of easy basic rules, deepened to quite high complexity by a lot of skills, attributes, races, team development is very motivating.
The site is quite active and there are a lot of people spending their time for keeping it running, enabling that everyone can enjoy the game. Thanks a lot!

The Bad: Very seldom, but it happened that matches took place, where the opponent did not follow simple rules of politeness. Greeting the opponent or waving goodbye. Instead there was simpleminded destruction, without much sense behind it.
It would be great if everyone keeps in mind that all coaches here are human beings, which should be treated with respect.
Further its demotivating to enjoy the development of a team over x matches (spending lots of gameplay hours) and then it gets devastated in a single match. I know its the game, sometimes simply down to dice and I have to accept it, but to me its nevertheless an demotivating event if it occurs.
