“Chaos All-stars get a rare win (they usually tie) with some extremes in luck. Turns 1-7 of each half were full of moderate to crap luck (double 1's on gfi BH CW, doubles skulls rerolled into skull & push, next block double skulls). Luckily the Gypsies caught some of the bad rolls too on a few gfis and 1ds.
Turn 8 of the first half I needed two gfis without rr's to score. Turn 8 of the second half I need pushes or better on two 2d blocks, I pow on a 2d block, a gfi, handoff to AG3, and another gfi without a rr to score. And I made it. I was so focused on the few moments of bad luck though that I thought I only tied instead of winning!
Another hard match vs JR; he plays well vs. me and I can't afford any mistakes.
Still scarred from the slaughterhouse match against Pain State!, Dark Water goes yet another game without a win. That makes five loses in a row, for any fans who are counting... not that the fans aren't leaving in droves.
The good and bad luck was pretty evenly distributed this game, but Celas got it when it counted and won the game. The Gypsies held off the Choas All-Stars for most of the first half, but they were able to break through and score... not before Max Lightman took out a St 4 beastie! Alas, connections were lost and Max was appearently injured during the lost time, so he stayed out of the action to be fair. Of course, Ryce would;ve loved to use him on the last play of the game to try and stop the chaos, but such is fair play.
Newbie, Bruno Barracks dodged away from a beastie to score after both he fell (twice) trying to get to a ball that Jonez fell trying to run in for a td (twice) and was knocked out. Good job Bruno!
Another green player, DIngo went toe-to-toe with an ogre and hurt him. Still that wasn't enough and the fans keep leaving... can the Gypsies shake off the ghosts of the past?
Good game, Celas. I am afraid this puts me 2/3/4 against you. Sigh.”
