Securing a draw in this game was a miracle. That miracle is called Lucky.

In an event that may have bankrupted many of the local bookies, the casualties were all inflicted by skeletons - 4 of them in blocks and just 2 in fouls. By the halfway point of the first period the 'Saws were down to 7 orcs on the pitch. A baffled Coach Chainsaw looked at his team, something was amiss. They looked a bit odd - like their armour didn't fit, it was a bit too small. And the skeletons, they were surviving a smashing with little or no damage taken, dishing out unsually heavy damage, as well as looking too small for their armour. He grabbed a substitute, looked at the label... "Damn those sneaky undead - they switched armour!"

A hitsquad of fouling undead quickly formed, rolling down the field fouling all in it's path. Only 3 orcs would see half time whistle as Coach Dakkon and his Wild Cards 58 team easily walked the ball over the line. The only good news was that the only death was dealt with by the apothecary and - aside from a couple of hurt players - there was plenty of knock outs.

Still, it didn't look promising as Team Chainsaw could only field 7 players for the start of the 2nd half and the Khemri offensive drive.

The kick landed near the halfway line and within reach of Lucky. The Wild Cards 58 players concentrated on the gang foul and left the Thro Ra exposed. The nervous bag of bones dropped the ball. Lucky slipped around the side of the offensive line but still had a lot of hard work to do.

Whilst the mummies beat up the rest of the team, a few skeletons got back to cover Lucky. One tried to hit him, but he cunningly sidestepped into a better position. He shoved the skeleton out of the way, snatched the ball from under the fingertips of the Thro Ra, and sprinted away. Well, he thought he was sprinting away - this is Lucky we are talking about! He managed to get some distance between himself and the majority of Khemri players, at least.

When the trailing skeletons rather easily caught up with him, he used his guile to survive another hit. The Thro Ra, enduring a nightmare performance, fell over in an attempt to block Lucky's path, and the deft orc slipped by the clumsy skeletons and stretched over the line. By a Lucky miracle, the 'Saws were level.

With still only 7 players to defend the next Khemri drive, could lightening strike twice and Team Chainsaw snatch victory from the jaws of death? No. Easily overrun with Lucky getting knocked out, there was only one hope - that the clumsy Khemri players could not handle the ball. A hand off was dropped, and so was the pick up, and Lucky and a large dose of lady luck had handed a rather embarrassed Team Chainsaw the draw.

Fans were quick to turn on their team after the match, chasing the players out of the stadium. Apparently getting beaten up by skeletons does not go down well with orcs and a smaller gate is expected at the next game.
