He had already prevent a touchdown and made an interception, and was targeted by a gang foul in the second half, breaking his neck to make him less agile. Instead of accepting an injury that did not hamper him, Coach Chainsaw threw on the apothecary because he wanted Murdock's skills on the pitch. He would get fouled a second time and get his knee smashed - a more serious niggling injury for a player of his stature.
