#11 Big Earz – Dead (RIP)
The 'Saws kicked off the game, eager to do damage before their chaos opponents - notably danger beastman Grim Reaper - could get started. They brought down a player, Cinders raced forward for the foul, and the ref spotted the overly eager lineman and gave him his marching orders. The initiative was with already with Nachtogen and his Cult of Shadows.

Grim Reaper killed the troll with his first charge. Big Earz was so badly gorged that he couldn't regenerate and Coach Chainsaw was faced with a tough decision. Go the entire match with no apothecary, knowing that Grim Reaper will be mauling the rest of the team systematically? Or let the troll go. It was an easy choice, "Throw that useless lump of smell away. Don't put it in the garbage, we don't want to poison the rats."

Seeing how callous their coach was, knowing the ref was against them, and that it looked like a bloody slaughter of orcs was on the cards, the team was disheartened. Nothing was going the way of Team Chainsaw, with Nachtogen quickly wedging the them against the sidelines. It was looking good for Cult of Shadows, and they overran the offensive line. A beastman scooped up the ball, with just enough time to score before the end of the half. He needed to make an extra yard, took a deep breath, and the recoil of revulsion as he inhaled the awful smell of the troll's body - being taken to pieces by goblins on the sidelines - caused the creature to stop in his tracks and leave a distance too great to make it before the half time break.

With Coach Chainsaw reassuring his players that the reason he let the troll die was to save the apothecary for them, they came out with renewed vigour. The referee displayed impartiality, sending off a beastman, then Fumblebuck got away with a foul of his own. Cult of Shadows were down to 9 men and all of a sudden the tide had turned. The orcs swarmed through the chaos line. Still, there was a gap, and Nachtogen exploited it. A warrior with the ball pushed through, elected to throw to a nearby beastman, and fumbled. With greater skill and numbers, Team Chainsaw easily got the loose ball and sent Zeplin away to seal the game with room to spare. Fortunately it was on the opposite side of the pitch to the troll carcass so no mishaps occurred and it was a great win against the odds after the violent opening to the game.

In the end the crowd was left disappointed after Grim Reaper survived multiple gang fouls, so we are not expecting a bigger than normal crowd for the next match.
