#3 Sceral – Gouged Eye (MNG)
#9 Tialncal – Broken Ribs (MNG)
#13 Sasklex – Fractured Skull (-AV)
Vampires! With only 4 team re-rolls, 6 vampires on the pitch at all times, and very little tackle, we hoped that the vampires might self-destruct - but these were pro vampires. Only 2 failed bloodlust rolls during the first half (one was saved by pro, one was on an unimportant end of turn block with a thrall adjacent), and a Saurus fouled out on the first turn, and 2 extra re-rolls from kick off results meant the Vampires had solid momentum for the first half.

But Shrieking Bloodstorm managed to solidly cage up and knock down the ball carrier - only for the vampires to hypno everything and run away with the ball on the agi 5 vampire. Ssska had a blitz attempt on the blockless vampire, but could only get a push - and with another vampire close enough to blitz the saurus away, Blooderlust scored on turn 8. During this drive 2 skinks were removed from the game and Shindahl was KOd.

Sasklex attempted a one turn; with a grab Saurus, it was easy to push Sasklex 4 squares; a very deep kick was some cause for concern, and Shindahl USED the team re-roll to pick up the ball (4 times this game, as with all games, Shindahl failed the first roll to pick up the damn ball. Agi 5 my bum, ha!) but successfully passed to Tsassee who handed over to Sasklex. With 3 dodges and a single gfi to go, Sasklex tripped and fractured his own skull. BAM!

The second half saw Shindahl take several turns to recover a perfect end zone kick - but Tsassee easily caught Shindahl's hand off and rushed forward - one failed blitz meant Tsassee scored on turn 4. With only 3 thralls and 1 re-roll left, surely the remaining 8 lizards (2 skinks, 5 Saurus and Krrronk) could at least stop Blooderlust and perhaps score as well.

But the vampires promptly badly hurt Krrronk - and a turn later KOd Shindahl with some fancy hypno action. Even with the KO apod, the vampires simply refused to fail anything and scored on turn 8 with almost precisely the same game plan as the first half - lose the ball in a mound of tackle Saurus and hypno/block the ball free to out of blitz range, scoring without a thrall close to the endzone.

Thanks for the match spinball! Rematch any time, and this time we'll bring bloody steaks to cover your thralls with in an effort to court SOME bloodlusts!
