“Shrieking Bloodstorm take to the pitch, this time against Pro Vampires!

They know what to do; hit vamps when you can, but play blitz-a-thrall. That + 6 vampires + bloodlust means that we should quickly be able to outman the Vampires, right? No! Not a single Saurus, out of 36 blocks, manages to cas anything, and in fact, only broke armour 2 or 3 times.

So the Vampires get the ball, and nicely move forward. Whereupon, the maniacal Tialncal ZOOMS forward, strips the ball away and laughs with glee! MWAHAHA! Shindahl dives in, picks up the ball and goes, goes, goes for it! 2 squares from the end zone! But a Vampire manages to knock Shindahl down; failing to pick up the ball though means that Shindahl needs a measly 2 dodges (2+) and a single pick up (2+) to score the defensive touchdown on turn 3. DOUBLE SKULL! KO! Shindahl is OUT!

But Tialncal won't give up! Although the vampires recover the ball, the stripping skink takes it away and this time Slisle grabs it and ends up on the end zone line! But the Wrestle Strip thrall POWs! the skink! Stun! From here, the lizards are unable to recover the ball again; but they pressure it like mad, which allows the vampires to badly hurt 2 saurus, and in the end it seems unlikely that the vampires will: 2+ bloodlust (no thralls near), 2+ dodge, 4+ pick up, 3+ pass, 2+ catch, 2+ bloodlust (no thralls near, 2+ gfi, SCORE ON TURN 8! 1-0 for the Rogue Nightmares!

Lining up 3 blodging vampires, 1 S5, 1 ss, 1 G, Arktoris is confident about the one turn attempt. But he forgets grab! Saurus shove the Guard Vampire all over the place, a touchback hands Shindahl the ball, and with a team re-roll (and dodge and sure feet) available the 2 2+ dodges and 3 2+ gfi's are no worry. 1-1 at the end of the half!

Opening the second half, Zeezee makes an SPP pass to learn how to Jump Up like Shindahl; and Shindahl hands the ball to the blodging Zeerak. Vampires hypnotize everything, and the wrestle strip thrall 1die POWs! the Saurus; the strength 5 monstrous vampire Edward grabs the ball; and Tialncal goes into maniac mode again! STRIP! Then Shindahl, 11 squares from the end zone.. dodges 6 times, picks up the ball in a tackle zone, goes for it three times and GOAL! 2-1 on turn 2 of the second half!

The Vampires are getting angry now. 3 Skinks line up on the LOS to face them. push/skull/push/skull/push/push/fail bloodlust/POW POW POW stun the skink badly hurt the thrall!! push/skull/skull. What the heck? Fine, the only thrall still near a skink will.. double down! The skink is badly hurt! The thrall is badly hurt too, as the rookie skink gets the only cas for Shrieking Bloodstorm!
More importantly the ball is on the ground a mere 11 squares from Shindahl, so Zeezee moves to catch.. but Shindahl misses the dodge and stuns himself!

So back we go to: S5 Edward carries the ball, Tialncal strips it from him, Zeezee/Shindahl move the ball down the field, vamps promptly bash down the carrying skink and get the ball to Edward, who moves it down the field. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat! On Turn 8, Shindahl might have passed a scoring touchdown throw, but he didn't risk the first GFI, and so missed the 3+ pass to a rookie skink! But no Vampires were in scoring range, and the game was over. 2-1.
