“In long unknown territory of having no advanced ghouls (no Draknil!) we came unsure into this match against the Deathbringers. The crowd were happy to see the remaining Forgotten Villains put up a great, tough performance and even Son of Draknil scored 2.
There was a lot of hits in this match but other than Ripper being battered by the Minotaur early on we didn't take much damage. After a riot we just did a quick drive straight through he middle. Honkah also did a hard blow which needed the apo to save the life of a marauder. On the return after a couple of positioning blocks Switchblade charged through a gap and pounced on the carrier. The Faceless Hunte then went for the ball but tripped up after grabbing it. He was then pushed by a Marauder into the ball which careered off the pitch. A fan then hurled most of the way across the middle and it bounced into Valkyia's lap! He then handed it off to Knut and it was 2-0 by half time.
The Pact side did a good job of getting one back next half but the Villains were careful on the last drive and despite a Mino trying to grab on to him Son of Draknil got out of the cage, Switchblade covered him by injuring a marauder, and he streaked away victorious for the third. Good game.”
