“This was the second time the Forgotten Villains have ever faced WMDs. We couldn't repeat a win but it was an exciting match. Against their brutal attack we had to hope that few skilled chaos warriors, no sure hands for them and good regen would work for us. That all went as hoped, but our players still let the win slip from our grasp in the 2nd half.

It started worringly when after receiving we ko'd a rookie Beastman but both our Wights were taken out, by a dirty foul and blitz respectively. After skilled zombies also were clawed off Son of Draknil scrambled through for a quick score. Through regen and ko recovery we still had all options at kickoff, and a legend clawpomber was ko'd (he is too crippled and old for this sport!). When rookie warrior Rivers fumbled our defence was on. He picked up next try but failed a handoff. SOD then tripped up when trying to pressure them. Next one worked but Switchblade had space to smash the Beastman carrier down and grab the ball. When the Mountain tripped up in a key blitz it seemed they may still score but after Switchblade was surfed the ball was thrown far enough away from the beastman receiver. Half time 1-0!
It was still 11 v 11. Us without Mumm-ra and them without Durst, the legend.
Our hitting improved and Chaos were up against it. Could we block them off? Seal was killed by the Mountain and joins our ranks. Then Switchblade had a great chance to take the ball carrier down but couldn't do it. Other chances came but alas went with too much tripping. 1-1 it was!
There was still time left and a kick in the middle left SOD a chance to get the ball to Faceless Hunter to try a score. But Son of Draknil's sure hands deserted him. The coach was exasperated.
I chose a bribe and babe for this one as I expected to be hanging on. On reflection a wizard could well have won it for us by ensuring we took down their carrier 2nd half. On the other hand could have rolled a 1 and even though the bribe didn't stop a sending off but having it did encourage me to make a couple of useful fouls...Anyway, Good match and The Mountain now has strength 6!”
