Ulthuan Strikes Back took revenge for its loss in the regular league and won the title!

Despite playing 590k TV down, this wouldn't be an easy game. The Kittens won the coin toss and let us receive. Both teams got the ref on kick-off, which would increase Nobbla's time on the pitch. Having learned from my mistake in the first match, when stalling went wrong and cost me the game, I went for a quick score and made the touchdown in turn 2. This ate a bribe, but it also allowed me to defend when still having a full team.

The Kittens still had 7 turns for the equalizer and took their time to mount an offense. Nevertheless, I got an opportunity for a 2d blitz on the ball and actually managed to cut it loose. I failed the pick-up though, but the ball was still in two tackle zones and I got some other players not too far away in back-up. But the Kittens threw in their wizard, who took out 1 player who was protecting the ball and dodged, blitzed and picked up the ball and scored the equalizer the next turn. That left the elves a shot for a one-turner, but solid defense made it impossible.

The second half started and the Kittens were slowly reducing the elves' numbers. Eventually they managed to punch a hole in our defense. Next turn the troll went really stupid though and the Kittens decided to go over to plan B and blitzed backwards instead, probably to set up a stall. When a goblin failed his dodge, I got a chance to move in my guard lineman for a 2d blitz on the ball. The ball was kicked free and an ag5 lineman picked it up and ran away with it. Then I stalled until turn 8 before securing the 2-1 win.
