Another unlucky game of the Meddlers. The opposing Congregation of Holy Touchdown won the coin toss and chose to receive in the first half. A failed pick-up in turn one was met with fast pressure on the ball. Despite the absence of massive damage skills, the sisters still grinded down the elves. Attrition was very high. By the end of the sister's turn 8, only three elves were left on the pitch (two sisters got sent off for fouling too). Meanwhile we had blitzed the ballcarrier twice, but to no avail. The last attempt kicked the ball loose, but it landed in the hands of another sister. 1-0 at halftime.
We started the second half with 7 players, but were down to 3 again by turn 3 of half 2. Next time we'll bring snotling armor, which is obviously more solid. A half-hearted attempt at equalizing failed by lack of rerolls. 1-0 and another loss.
It is getting increasingly difficult to get this team going. A third reroll seems indispensable, but we currently lack the funds. We need more skills too, urgently. All that and a treeman. And some decent armor...”
