It started with Micky o'Neil using his boxing skills to target an old wound on one of the elves and this took the first player of the pitch. A few more hits took the elves numbers down. In response they scored a quick stylish touchdown.
The Grotbags had plenty of time for the next drive. Ronnie got in a bit of bother and was surrounded after the orcs went for hit first, protect the ball later. The attack rushed back and supported him in making a break. It was nearing the end of the half and Ronnie had a clear run to the end-zone so one of the Raiders catchers made a brave but cursed attempt to stop him. It ended with him being carried off the pitch after a nasty trip.
Second half started and the orcs were taking no risks. They formed a cage and got on with bashing some elves. It was a brutal phase of the game with many elves being KO'ed. Nearing the end of the half only three remained on the pitch. The coach ordered a pitch clear so the orcs got on with it. With the help of the boot and a bribe to the ref they cleared the pitch then scored. The Raider's coach took it in good humour and told his team they were lucky they were all going to be around for the next game. ”
