Thanks to perfect defense on the kick-off the Matriarchs managed to put pressure on the ball early on and even managed to steal it. But by turn 3 we had lost 5 players, including the ST4 Augur ballcarrier. The game seemed over before it had even fully begun. Matriarch Brunhilde saved her team almost on her own, eliminating Poxus by smashing his ankle. Later she would do almost the same, smashing the ball out of the hands of Cloacant, stunning him in the process. 0-0 at halftime.

Still outnumbered, the Matriarchs had to play a little like elves. Not easy with all that armor. Sigmar was with us when we -2d powed the standfirm Rotspawn, but then Nuffle intervened and made us fail the dodge needed to reach the endzone. The ball ended up in the backfield and was eventually secured, more or less. A 5+ pass in turn 8 sealed the fate of the game, allowing the Matriarchs to push through to the final.
