Well, at least the first half seemed like that. With Red Onion & Rosemary Sausages doing his best impersonation of an elf, Petaaah Dinklidge failing to break even AV7 with his massive hands, and the elves fouling a blocker off the pitch, things felt very topsy turvy.

Second half got even sillier. We'd eventually taken a few players out, but only by sending them surfing or fouling, but after the first half, the elves forgot to dodge and the Vegans began to get brutal again. Tempted to rush the score, we held back in time to kill the wardancer with a big hard foul, although the apothecary pulled him back from our clutches.

So a good tough game. If I hadn't managed to clear some of the Guard pieces out quickly, probably would have been at least 2-1 the other way.”
