Things to improve on:

First half

I should have noticed that only 1 player had dodge, so basing and forcing dodges could burn rerolls quickly (but they did have 4 rerolls).

I marked the frenzy played and had already forgotten that frenzy was on the pitch by turn 1! Black Orc surfed turn 2 (almost turn 1).

Maybe wasn't worth re-rolling the failed pickup, as I'd sent back a small screen and we were out of range. Had to reroll second pickup, so then down to 1 reroll by turn 2.

Went for a based cage wedged inbetween lines of elves, relying on mix of ST4, Guard and outnumbering to hold the cage. It was turn 4 so felt needed to make some progress.

The move forward of the cage on turn 6 felt a bit ropey, required a dodge to close the back of the cage (had reroll, probably only would have left 1d on a blodger).

Scored on turn 7, leaving a 2 turn for the elves, which worked. Would the stall have been more likely than stopping the 2 turn? Probably not. Lots of my players were based and the cage was well surrounded, looked very risky. High chance of an elf wall to face on turn 8.

Final score required 2 gfi's with reroll and if I hadn't knocked down with the blitz, a 3+ dodge with dodge. Still leaving a 2 turn. But still, I can't see better option.

For the 2 turn, I completely overlooked that he would combine hand off with throw. I was just focussed on surrounding the catcher. Should have also looked into ways to interrupt the short throw.

Second half

Wanted to put some pressure on, to make them score quickly (deny them vanity passes). But left the centre only protected by 2 linemen and they were not well positioned as part of the main screen. Elves flooded down the middle.

Yet again, I overcommitted to stop the attack, leaving one side wide open.

Ball was very quickly screened off with half the pitch screened off by elves.

Managed to surround them and pressure into scoring as soon as possible. Losing last re-roll helped force them in on turn 4 ish.

Final drive, piled on lots of pressure hoping for a dodge turnover or block fail. Base, base, base, base.

Yet more basing for the final push to score down a sideline, relying on strength and numbers to hold the screen/cage, luckily not enough elves for a full elf wall. Final orc of the screen/cage failed first gfi, after using reroll, I went for second gfi and failed it too. Leaving ball carrier just about hittable. Maybe I should have not risked the naked gfi.

Early dodge fail in elf final turn gave me the score, avoided distinct possibility of an elf wall to have been made requiring a risky score attempt. But they would have needed to roll a lot of dice without reroll to make the wall.
