My least favourite sort of match: well developed Orcs with lots of Guard, and sweltering heat so what remaining players I'd have left at the end of the half would probably be taken out.

A lucky start: blitz, and then persistent 1s by the orcs, failing pick ups, dodges, and hitting my wraith. I kept him slowed down for a long time, and if only I'd put tackle on a wolf at some point, would have had a chance to stop the first half score. Still, not so bad: some choice fouls took out Dragunoval, and the sun put Equilaterail Gun out for the second half.

More lucky uphill blocks all day got me to a point where I could force some nuisance blocks, and just about have enough room to get the ball into scoring range with just a 3+, 2+ with no rerolls, so I was happily checking the scoreboard and thinking I'd got my second 1-1 of the season, when like a fool I made it possible for the orcs to one turn me. Still, that was pretty glorious. After game 1 (lose 2-1 because you forget how to play against vamps, and also feel like you forgot how to play) and game 2 (only draw because of the end zone tripwire saving you from going 2-0 down in 6 turns) the Delinquents are beginning to warm up. Still looking at relegation at the end of the season, but we're inflicting some pain on the way. :-)
