“First half was a battle of attrition, with ko's and sideline pushes abounding on both sides. Amazingly, despite how many times both sides broke through the armor, only one cas (a bh on my catcher) occurred. Lots of failed passes by my side, lots of skulls on his side. Half ends scoreless.

Second half, only a single ko returns from either bench (figures it's his top player, too). However, due to team size I'm able to field a full 11 men to his 9, albeit two of mine are rookies. He quickly ko's another couple his first turn, bring teams even again. Then I ko his top player, my catcher throws a cas on one of his zombies, and stuns abound from my blocks. Thus outmanned, he was unable to stop me from stealing the ball away from him and play keep away, bottling his players in the center of the pitch with no way to get away. Almost screwed it up myself, though, as I was bound and determined to get two skills (one via completion, one via touchdown) yet kept dropping the ball on pickup/pass/catch. Eventually I stopped trying to pass, and just settled for the game winning score (and skill) in turn 8.

I'm sure the second half was incredibly frustrating for my opponent, as three times he rr'd a pushback result only to get double skulls. But he's a good sport, and his team's looking tough. We matched a while back, with his undead getting the win. This time, my humans walked away victors. Who will it be next time these two titans clash?”
