Why is it that every time I pick up a +STR stat increase, it's always on a player with a -av injury? Not only that, but now for the third time, the team has a +STR/+AGI/-AV player! First it was Menion, a frantic blitzer who died, not from a blow, but from a failed dodge. Next, it was the immortal Will, who retired after becoming the greatest passing human lineman in the history of fumbbl. What will Bek do with this gift?
We feared giving Bek that one last spp for his star-skill, fearing aging would catch up to him. Boy, were we wrong to wait! Not only did age not slow him down, but in fact Bek is now faster than ever before! You go, boy!
With the death of Menion, Bek now takes the mantle of team captain and oldest player. I think his shoulders are broad enough to carry the load...
In a game against some high elves, the team was shocked when a blow from behind felled Bek, groaning about a pained spine. Although the apo was able to keep him walking, he was unable to completely reverse the damage, and Bek will forever after have pain with every step he takes. He's a trooper, and has asked the coach to allow him to stay with the team, but we'll keep a close eye on his condition. If it appears he's becoming a liability to the team, his active playing status will be revoked. Until then, you gotta admire his spunk to keep trying through the pain...
