I hate to respond to a whine about bad luck, but I can't not respond when someone has got it completely wrong.

Couldn't disagree more with your last paragraph. You benefitted big time from the disconnection. Instead of receiving I ended up kicking. Which allowed you to knock out almost my whole team (due to some phenomenal AV rolls). This very rarely happens, especially when I receive Sure I started with more players, but that doesn't help when you lose them right away because you are no longer receiving. The ensuing fiasco (although I almost got the ball several times except for some miserable luck blitzing your ball carrier) guaranteed that I wasn't going to try and score twice in the second half. Instead I played it conservatively, stalled the entire second half and took the relatively easy tie and considered myself lucky to have recovered from the bad breaks of the 1st half.

On the other hand, had Lurkman showed and had I been receiving, it would have in all likelihood been a completely different story.

Note: The luck-o-meter is more irrelevant then usual due to the numerous restarts due to some serious net problems on Malthor's end.

The Hellbringers found themselves facing a totally different line up after a powerful spell caused the match to be restarted! At first the Hellbringers were only facing 10 of the Anarchists, but when the match restarted, they had 12! (There were internet problems all over the world this day, and originally, he had 4 players niggle out, including both his Witch Elves, but on the restart, he only had 2 niggle out, and although one was his superstar thrower, I looked to be in trouble).

The Hellbringers started in offence and slowly brought the ball upfield, mindful of the opposing star studded line up that would take the slightest opportunity to steal the ball. The Anarchists applied heavy pressure, but the Hellbringers were on fire, knocking out player after player.

By the time they safely brought the ball into the endzone late in the first period, 6 Anarchists had been knocked out!

In the second half, the Anarchists lined up with 10, and then delayed scoring for as long as possible whilst trying to stretch out the Hellbringer defence as much as possible.

The strange magics that were around at the start of the match continued, causing plays to be replayed over and over. Eventually the Anarchists scored, leaving the Hellbringers just enough time to score the winning TD. However, a short riot caused the match to fizzle out to a draw.
------------
It was a day of internet connection difficulties, the game dropped out via fumbbl proxy and direct ip numerous times. I would say I was on the unfortunate end of these disconnections as I ended up facing a much stronger team after my opponent got to reroll all his niggling rolls. Also during the match, there were a couple of times where I got a pow on my block, but then the game dropped out and on the reload, I would get a skull and burn a reroll. But then, the same might have happened for my opponent, but of course I was only focussing on my misfortune LOL.

If his original 10 players had taken the field, it probably would have been game over very quickly as I would have outnumbered earlier and for longer and also he would have had less offensive threats. Oh well, that is just my bad luck :).
--------
Addendum. As I said, I was only noting my misfortune, and I said my opponent (you Evo) would have had the same but I wasn't focusing on his bad luck. That is human nature. I didn't think my report was a terrible whine about bad luck, so we will have to agree to disagree there.

You think I am wrong, I can live with that. Good luck with your team. :)
