Finals of XFL Dwarf:

The Fruit CHews had more strength, but did not have well-developed blitzers or runners compared to the Brewsters. The Brewsters came into the game armed with Grimjaw, but unfortunately his twin brother showed up on the opposite side of the field and both sat out.

First half was an indication of how the game would go. Uncharacteristic of dwarves the coaches talked in a friendly manner and concluded the luckier side would earn victory today. Indeed both sides showed early signs of luck as a passing game and 1d blitzes led to a 1-1 halftime score.

The difference maker in the game could be attributed to two things...first, the uncharacteristic choice of Side Step on a number of Fruit Chewers shut down key running lanes. Second and most importantly, the skills of Blue #1 became a game breaker when the dwarf accidently ran into the ref on a blitz and scared him into ignoring the Fruit Chews dirty play for the last 12 turns of the game. Blue #1 went to work like a surgeon with a rusty scapel and lots of malpractice insurance. He caused 3 KOs and two CAS, to go along with the 3 CAS by the rest of the MB-laden Chewies.

After this display, coach Morkon could only throw his hands in the air and start making post-game plans as the runner-up in the tourney. Showing true class, he was nice enough to make reservations for both teams at the same Inn, however, his entire team left the table to use the restroom after the bill came and coach Celas had to pick up the tab :)

Thanks for the match; may all your rolls be doubles. Celas' side step clinic for dwarves will be opening soon, at a quarry near you....
