“Starting with a blitz the Faeries had a good shot at getting the first TD, especially as the Communists failed to pick up the ball. But instead of simply snatching the ball lying on the ground and scoring, the Faeries attempted to blitz away the hobgoblin covering the ball. This failed when the two needed go for its failed despite a re-roll.

The Communists then took the rest of the half to advance to a scoring position, all the while knocking elves off the pitch. The dwarves even managed to kill Yun twice in the process, once with a block and once with a foul.

A last turn blitz by the elves managed to knockdown the hobgoblin carrying the ball however, and with no hobgoblins able to reach the goalline a faint glimmer of hope appeared. Then the dwarf standing next to the elf holding the ball mysteriously blitzed, moved adjacent to the elf and somehow managed to remain standing (5+ dodge). This was apparently due to some otherwordly interference (computer troubles), but as the dwarf anyhow managed to knock down the elf and a bullcentaur then nimbly picked up the ball and scored there was no damage done.

In the second half it was the Communists turn to get a blitz and this made things a bit hectic for the elves. The Faeries still got the ball however and a catcher started a run towards the goalline, all the time cheered on my the elven coach who really wanted to score fast and win this match.

The poor elven catcher wasn't fast enough however and was quickly blitzed into the ground by a bullcentaur. A race to pick up the ball started with the Communists getting it first, and when an attempt to blitz the hobgoblin holding the ball failed when the elf didn't dodge away on a 2+ dodge with re-roll the writing was on the wall for the elves.

The Communists finally scored on the last turn after knocking about the elves some more and killing Wing.”
