In a game against a group of undead, the team doctor got ambushed outside the stadium and not allowed to enter (handicap roll). So it was with a heavy heart the team had to watch Menion trip while dodging, killing himself in his shock and surprise. The rest of the team after the game found the doc and "escorted" him inside the stadium to see what he could do, which was to rebuild the body. But that inner spark, that blazing frenzy which drove Menion to be stronger and more agile than everybody else, was reduced to a mere simmer. But alive he is, and the other members of the Horsemen have made a pact to help Menion to remember himself and rejoin them as the premiere elite blitzing squad in all human teams.
Even though Menion was the first of the Horsemen to fall, after the team's restructuring he found himself the last one standing. Even our beloved frenzy ogre fell under the fists of a khemri mummy to never rise again. Suddenly our team's most experienced player, Menion has taken his leadership roll seriously, although he looks forward to the day when his companions can regain their former glory and relieve him of this burden, so he can concentrate on what he loves best--bloodbowl!
Well, it ended up being the opposite of what he'd hoped would happen. Instead of his live companions becoming better (which they did, don't get me wrong, but not nearly as much so as his old pals), Menion fell to the blow of a Chaos Warrior without ever having passed the super-star mark of his career. The coaching staff had him hold off, hoping to instead help his teammates along. Now we'll never know what he could have been like, but somehow I don't think Menion's going to hold it against us. For now he's rejoined his old companions and is once again playing bloodbowl at the highest level of competition in another dimension, better than ever.
