The Knights are a team of promising youngsters with big ambitions hailing from a far off country - although the claim that the whole team are genuine knights seems dubious at best. After dominating the local Albion Blood Bowl competitions, they decided it was time to step up to the big leagues. So, they traveled to the Empire, found an agent, and got stuck in. However, the team seems to be having trouble winning over the local supporters - despite their excellent match record their Fan Factor has only gone up 3 times. Perhaps this is due to the lack of blood in their games - they aren't very good at dishing out casualties. Further reducing the amount of blood is the teams Apothecary, who has saved 4 men from certain death and more from career-threatening serious injury. However, he failed to save Ither, a much loved member of the team killed by a blitzing, frenzied Mummy. The Knights have always been a team based around their running game, anchored on the 4 Blitzers who are the heart and soul of the team. Recently management has been applying pressure to see more flair in the team's game, no doubt inspired by watching the great elf teams play, and perhaps with the idea of drawing in more fans of the finesse side of the game. So after almost 20 games, the Knights are finally developing a passing game. It helps that the teams pair of rookie throwers are managing to both complete passes and stay alive, something the previous set couldn't achieve. NOTE the Knights hold certain quaint notions about gentlemanly play, presumably due to their early days in Albion. As such, they do not play against teams with multiple Dirty Players, or freaks with the Claw/RSC combo. They frown on hiring star players, freebooters, or wizards *after* the match has been agreed upon (if it's on your roster already, that's fine). |
