Penal Team RD-D1, more commonly known as the Gothenburg Gangstas, is an exciting and controversial project team that might change the future of Blood Bowl.

The immensly popular sport has had problems supplying the seemingly endless public interest in later years. The staggering casualty rates have made player salaries shoot through the roof and lead to investors having problems funding their teams or starting new ones. Many teams run no longer than a few matches before getting scrapped due to unexpected casualties, and when the Blood Bowl Commision can't fill out their broadcast time due to teams conceding their games profits are lost.

Penal teams like the Gothenburg Gangstas might prove to be the solution to the problem. The idea is that by offering desperate criminals a minor chance of regaining their freedom by proving their valor on the Blood Bowl arenas there will be a constant stream of practically self-maintained teams to feed the market.

Casualties amongst the penal teams will also lighten the burden of the allready strained correction facilities and prisons, in many cases supplying a free alternative to costly executions.

The Gothenburg Gangstas are spearheading the project and the criminals on the register are looking forward to taking their chance of redemption!

The Gothenburg Gangstas are currently involved in the Orc-Cola Cup franchise, but free to play League games between the tournaments.
